FM Eyeshadow Base

This is the eyeshadow base from FM which I am trying at the moment. It comes in a small 4g pot but you need very little indeed per application. It is fragrance free which is particularly good around the eyes where you want to avoid sensitivity at all cost. It has a dryish texture which I hope you can see from the above picture and I just take some out of the pot with my ring finger to apply to my eyelids. In fact that small quantity shown above is adequate per application. I simply rub my finger on the surface of the product which feels dry to the touch and pick up the smallest amount I can. Its a nude shade and when applied to the lid evens out the skintone. In fact mostly I wear it alone as I am not a big user of eyeshadow and like a nice clean looking lid. I find my eyelids can get quite greasy despite my having dry skin so I wipe over both lids with either cotton wool or a tissue before applying this product. I find that gives it a good start and is able to get a good grip on the eyelid.

If you want to wear eyeshadow, you allow it to set and dry slightly then you have a good base for eyeshadow application and the colour remains much truer than without a primer and it also helps it last much longer in place. I find the eyeshadow applies very smoothly too over the primer but I always give it a few minutes to make sure the primer is totally dry before applying.  Products sells for £6.50.
